A close call for Jewel's band. A bus carrying Jewel's band and crew was involved in an accident, but everyone is OK. Jewel was on another bus, no where near the accident site. It seems the bus driver passed out at the wheel. She says he's had the flu the last couple of days and wasn't feeling well. Jewel says, ``All seemed fine. All the guys went to bed in their bunks,'' when around 2 a.m. the bus went flying off the road and into a ditch. She says luggage, guitars and bags went flying all over the place, but she says ``Amazingly the bus didn't tip over.''

Sugarland and Melissa Etheridge will perform during the finale of tonight's ``Stand Up to Cancer'' TV special. The hourlong program will air live simultaneously on ABC, NBC and CBS. Other stars expected to turn out for the event include, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Sally Field, Meryl Streep and many more. LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow and Miley Cyrus will share the stage with some other music heavies to perform the charity song ``Just Stand Up.'' All sales of the single will benefit cancer research.

Taylor Swift has taken her act across the pond for the first time. Wednesday, she made her European debut with a sold-out show in London. But there will be no time for an extended European jaunt. She needs to be back for Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she's nominated for Best New Artist. Next Wednesday, she'll appear on ABC's ``Good Morning America'' to announce the final nominees for the 2008 CMA Awards, along with Rascal Flatts.

The third annual Barbeque and Bluegrass festival at Dolly Parton's Dollywood kicks off today and features three weeks of free concerts. Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder headline the festival's opening weekend. Other artists slated to perform during the festival are The Del McCoury Band, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Cherryholmes and Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...

Romance has been brewing behind the scenes of Brad Paisley's tour this summer. Julianne Hough tells People magazine she's dating fellow singer Chuck Wicks. The two met while opening for Paisley. She says she's having a great time getting to know him. She says, ``He's just a great guy! He's awesome and really, really talented.''

Brad Paisley is making it easy for fans to remember to pick up his new album. It comes out on Election Day, November 4th. The CD entitled ``Play'' is mostly instrumental. The guitar-based album has only four vocal tracks and they feature Paisley singing and picking with B.B. King, Keith Urban, Steve Wariner and the late Buck Owens.

TJ is looking predicting the end of the world. Apparently, Jessica Simpson will make her Grand Ole Opry debut next month. Simpson shares the bill with Loretta Lynn, Roy Clark, and Patty Loveless. Simpson's performance is this Saturday, September 6th. Her debut country album ``Do You Know'' hits stores September 9th. Tj said this was mentioned in Revelations just before the Four Horsemen.

Willie Nelson has found the time to write a book. Nelson has co-authored a western called ``A Tale Out of Luck.'' It revolves around Texas Rangers, cattle rustling, Indian warriors, women of ill repute, saloons and shootouts. The book hits stores September 3rd.

Kenny Chesney has snagged Bob Marley's legendary Wailers Band to appear in the music video for his new song ``Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven,'' the first single from Chesney's upcoming album. The video was shot in Jamaica. Chesney says ``it was great to work with them.'' He says they were generous with their time and stories. He says ``We sat up one night on the beach, and they shared the whole history of the band.'' The Wailers also sing on the CD version of ``Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven.''

Darius Rucker made his Grand Ol' Opry debut recently. He called to talked about that amazing experience ...

Vince Gill didn't need coaxing to perform on a new CD with Little Feat. He says they're his favorite band. Plus, he says he's known them forever. He says ``We've been friends and I've jammed with them plenty. Those guys were inspiring to me.'' The new CD features Little Feat singing their classics with special guests like Gill, as well as Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Jimmy Buffett and Emmylou Harris. Gill sings the group's signature tune, ``Dixie Chicken,'' and plays guitar on ``Spanish Moon.'' The CD, ``Little Feat and Friends: Join the Band,'' hits stores today.

Kenny Chesney will release a deluxe fan edition of his new album ``Lucky Old Son'' on October 14th. The regular, music-only version drops October 21st. The deluxe edition includes four extra tracks. It also gives two fans and a guest the chance to win a trip to the opening of Chesney's 2009 Tour. Chesney says his new album ``is a really personal record.'' He says ``It comes from some pretty deep places.'' He says it looks at his life and how he's evolved.

The bonus holiday songs will appear on a limited edition double CD version.

Miley Cyrus will celebrate her 'Sweet 16' with a big blowout at Disneyland. Cyrus actually turns 16 on November 23rd, but the Disney bash is set for October 5th. Tickets for the event go on sale Saturday. Cyrus says ``it's going to be an awesome party with my favorite rides, hanging out with friends, fireworks and more.'' Cyrus will also perform a couple songs for her fans.

Lee Ann Womack's seventh album will be released on October 7th. It's titled ``Call Me Crazy.'' Keith Urban and George Strait lend their voices to the record.

Glen Campbell had never heard of Green Day or Foo Fighters, but that didn't stop him from covering their songs on his new album out today. Campbell says, ``It really is hard to mess up a good song,'' adding ``they just lay there great.'' Campbell also covers U2, Tom Petty and John Lennon on the CD entitled ``Meet Glen Campbell.'' He says he had never heard a lot of the songs. He started with about 200 tunes and whittled it down. He says, ``I just picked the ones that I liked, that I wanted to sing.'' So what's the meaning behind the album's title ``Meet Glen Campbell''? He says ``it's just another side of me coming out.'' The guys started to have a laugh about this, until they listened to the music. It is actually very good. Glen can still sing and does justice to all these tunes. Check it out!

Glen Campbell says to have John Lennon's song, ``Grow Old With Me,'' on his new CD is ``the cherry on the ice cream.'' He says ``to find that song was just fabulous.'' He says it was actually Lennon's widow Yoko Ono who brought the song to the table. Campbell's new CD of cover songs was released this week. He also covers tunes by Foo Fighters, Green Day, Tom Petty and U2 on the album, called ``Meet Glen Campbell.''
